Are you someone starting again in life? If you are, this message is for you.
I don’t know who you are or what you’ve been through. But I’m here to gently remind you: it’s okay to start again.
When we’re young, we measure ourselves against other people’s strength, timelines, and success. We admire the gifts in others that we don’t have and judge ourselves by what we lack. Moving forward can feel like a constant struggle. Sometimes, we even measure our beginnings against someone else’s middle. We compare our slow progress to another person’s loud acceleration and visible success.
It’s like being a fish on land. Not because you are incapable, but because you are in an environment that does not understand your nature. On land, a fish is never meant to move with grace; it struggles to breathe or move.
But the truth is not that the fish is flawed. It is simply out of place.
If you are that fish, who chooses to stay on land, that’s okay. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to grow in a place that stretches you beyond what feels natural.
But if you’ve been trying to survive somewhere that slowly made you doubt who you are, it’s also okay to step away. It’s okay to return to water. It’s okay to begin again, even if it means relearning how you trust yourself.
Starting again is not failure. It’s a resolute decision to leave the life you once knew. It is courage to unlearn the preconceptions and biases you once carried in our own mind. It is choosing to live consciously instead of drifting in a life that no longer fits.
And if no one has told you yet:
You are not behind.
You are not weak for walking away.
You are not foolish for trying again.
You are someone finding a place that fits, pursuing your truths, and navigating the ambiguities of life with hope.
And that is not weakness. That is the real sign of growth and courage.

"We admire the gifts in others that we don’t have and judge ourselves by what we lack." This stood out for me.
A lot of times, we measure our worth with the scale of others.
This filled me with hope. And peace 🙏♥️
